The fabrics of these beautiful kimonos are sourced in and around Cape Town. A seamstress who lost her factory and her job due to imports of local clothing stores makes the kimonos now. She gives work to her local community by asking women to iron, fold or cut off loose ends.
There are only a few pieces of gowns in each design. Every 2-3 months, there are new designs in stock.
It is not only worn as a kimono but also as a night gown, swimwear cover-up or even as a dress with a leather belt.
It is made of either viscose/rayon or cotton which makes it light, airy and breathable.
Each design has a name and each kimono has a number. This makes it a unique and a special item to have.
It truly is one of a kind!!
